Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Real Estate Image Downloader Chrome extension (“the Extension,” “we,” “us”) handles information. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to this policy.
1. What the Extension does
Real Estate Image Downloader lets you download the photos and videos shown on a real-estate listing page on Realtor.com, Redfin.com, or Zillow.com, and export the media links and details to a CSV file. When you open the Extension on a listing page, it reads that page to find image and video links so it can download them to your device or list them for export.
2. Information we collect
a) Email address (Pro purchases only). If you choose to upgrade to the paid “Pro” version, our payment provider ExtensionPay collects your email address to create and verify your license (so the Extension knows you have paid). We use this email solely to manage your Pro access.
b) Payment information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe through ExtensionPay's secure, hosted checkout page. We never receive, see, or store your credit card number or other payment-card details. The Extension only receives your paid / not-paid status and the email associated with your purchase.
c) Listing page content (processed locally only). To do its job, the Extension reads image URLs, video URLs, and related details (such as category, dimensions, and file names) from the listing page you are actively viewing. This content is processed entirely on your device to download files or build a CSV. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is not stored after you close the page.
3. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect or track your browsing history.
- We do not collect your name, address, location, or IP address.
- We do not log your clicks, keystrokes, or activity.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or lending.
4. How we use information
We use your email address only to:
- verify and maintain your Pro license, and
- respond to support requests you send us.
5. Third-party services
We rely on two third parties strictly to process Pro purchases:
- ExtensionPay — manages licensing and the payment flow. See extensionpay.com
- Stripe — securely processes payments. See stripe.com/privacy
These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies. We share data with them only for the purpose of processing your payment and managing your license, which is a permitted use under the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.
6. Data retention
Your email and license status are retained by ExtensionPay/Stripe for as long as your Pro license is active and as required for their records. Listing page content is never retained — it exists only in memory while you use the Extension. To request deletion of your purchase data, contact us (Section 9).
7. Permissions
The Extension requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose:
- Site access to Realtor.com, Redfin.com, and Zillow.com (and their image servers) — to read listing pages and fetch full-resolution images.
- Downloads — to save images, ZIP archives, videos, and CSV files to your device.
- Storage — to remember your Pro license status.
- Access to extensionpay.com — only to complete the Pro purchase flow.
8. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
